AURICULAR ACUPUNCTURE

Auricular acupuncture, or ear acupuncture, is a form of acupuncture based on the theory that the ear is a microsystem for the entire body. There is a direct relationship between the ear and the brain through the nervous system causing endorphins to be released and energy to be rebalanced. This type of acupuncture is especially effective for pain management and psycho-emotional disorders such as addiction or compulsive behaviors. MOXIBUSTION

Moxibustion is a form of heat therapy in which the dried herb “mugwort” (artemisia vulgaris) is burned on or near the surface of the skin in order to stimulate specific acupuncture points and to strengthen the body’s healing potential.The use of moxibustion is indicated for pain, fatigue, digestive complaints, gynecological issues and mild depression.

 

GUA SHA

Gua Sha is a therapy which involves an application of oil to the area being treated and then rubbing it with a round-edged instrument. This is typically done over congested areas of tissue and muscle. This technique promotes circulation, moves fluids containing metabolic waste and strengthens the immune system. This is a valuable method for treating pain,colds and cough and preventing disease.

 

CUPPING

Cupping is a form of therapy where cups are pressed onto the body using suction. It is designed to increase circulation, stretch tightly contracted muscles, loosen adhesions, decrease inflammation, increase range of motion and reduce pain.

 

KOREAN HAND ACUPUNCTURE

Korean Hand Acupuncture is a form of acupuncture based on the theory that the hand is a microsystem of the whole body. Very tiny needles or just press spheres are placed in areas that represent the larger areas of the body that are out of balance or in pain.

 

MEI ZEN COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE

The Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture system utilizes an ancient needling technique that is very superficial. The needling brings increased Qi and blood flow to the face. Additionally, the production of collagen and elastin is enhanced. Since this system is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the Mei Zen practitioner also uses point selections on the body to complete the balancing of energy.
