“Pain is the unwelcome chronic visitor that descends without choice and nags with determination. Despite years of doctor’s visits with orthopedic, chiropractic and pain management specialties I suffer with daily hip pain related to greater trochanter bursitis. A prescribed shoe orthotic, massage sessions, months upon months of physical therapy training with regular implementation of the exercises turned into six years, daily stretching, prescription anti-inflammatory’s and ice application have slowly and methodically improved my strength and over all mobility. However, each night continues restlessly as the discomforting ache settles in the darkness and any trip in the car over an hour is a shifting fidget of time biting unease. As a registered nurse, my lower limbs have little time in recovering mode between rigorous work shifts and thus complicating the issue.
